Chapman allowed one hit and one walk but struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Saturday against the Red Sox.

Chapman was called upon to protect a one-run lead in the ninth inning. He made things interesting by surrendering a walk and double with two outs but managed to strike out Enrique Hernandez to earn his 18th save of the season. Though he struggled mightily in a three-appearance stretch in late June and into July, Chapman has now allowed only one earned run across his last six innings of work. He's also locked in each of the Yankees last two saves and appears to have a clear handle on the closer role once again.
