Vargas (eye) is playing third base and batting eighth Saturday against the Red Sox.
Vargas suffered a right eye abrasion during a collision with Andrew Benintendi on Tuesday and had been held out of the lineup in back-to-back games. However, he's feeling well enough to play and start Saturday in Boston.
