Carela (elbow) has produced a 2.70 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 10:3 K:BB in 10 innings over three starts for High-A Winston-Salem since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list June 14.
Carela opened the season on the IL while completing his recovery from Tommy John surgery, which he underwent the previous spring. He made two rehab appearances in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League before being bumped up to Winston-Salem, where he's been working out of the rotation.
