The White Sox acquired Cave from the Rays on Monday in exchange for cash considerations, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The White Sox swung trades for both Cave and Tommy Pham on Monday to bolster their outfield depth. While Pham is expected to be added to the active roster Tuesday, Cave appears ticketed for Triple-A Charlotte. The 33-year-old Cave began the season in the Mexican League before signing with the Rays and posting a .711 OPS in 36 games with Triple-A Durham.
