Jimenez exited Wednesday's game with right groin tightness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports. He went 0-for-3 with a strikeout prior to departing.
The team called the removal precautionary. Given that Jimenez made his season-debut Monday after recovering from a serious shoulder injury, it makes sense that the team is proceeding with caution. Gavin Sheets entered the game to replace Jimenez.
