Thorpe (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League on Saturday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Thorpe is inching closer to a major-league return, having been sidelined since April of 2025 by Tommy John surgery. He's been cleared to embark on a rehab assignment, and if all goes well, he could be back in the majors in the White Sox's rotation for the last few weeks of the regular season.
