Romo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.
Romo will hit the bench for the fourth time in five games, though three of those absences have come against left-handed pitching. He and Edgar Quero appear to have settled into a quasi-platoon behind the plate, but both could see their opportunities take a hit once Kyle Teel (knee/hamstring) makes his expected return from the 60-day injured list later this month.
