Lewis was removed from Thursday's game against the Royals in the third inning due to a right quadriceps injury, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.
Lewis came up gimpy while rounding second base on a Carlos Correa double and walked off the field gingerly with the trainer. He had homered and singled in his first two plate appearances before exiting. Lewis should be considered day-to-day until the severity of the injury is known.
