Clemens is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Yankees.
The left-handed-hitting Clemens had started in each of the last four games while the Twins went up against right-handed hurlers, but he'll hit the bench Monday as Minnesota matches up with southpaw Carlos Rodon. Edouard Julien will replace Clemens at first base and will bat ninth.
