Rodriguez is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Angels.
The 23-year-old prospect homered in his first career plate appearance Sept. 12, but he has gone 4-for-23 with 11 strikeouts in his last six games and 0-for-12 with seven strikeouts in his last three. Rodriguez will get a chance to clear his head as Austin Martin starts in left field and Walker Jenkins mans center against southpaw Reid Detmers.
