Rooker (groin) began a rehab assignment with the Twins' Gulf Coast League affiliate on Monday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Rooker has been out since mid-July with a right groin contusion. He hit .281/.398/.535 prior to the injury.
