Trevor Plouffe hopes to play Sunday

Twins third baseman Trevor Plouffe hopes to play Sunday after being removed from Saturday's game with a triceps injury, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Plouffe, who was hit by a pitch in the injured area Saturday, said after the game that he was lucky to not be hit on the elbow. However, he did deal with stiffness before being removed. After going 1 for 2 with two RBI Saturday, Plouffe has hit .310/.419/.483 with one home run and 17 RBI in 87 at-bats.
