Greene (hamstring) ran sprints and was expected to run the bases at Comerica Park on Tuesday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
It was previously reported Greene was in line to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday. While he's not quite ready for that yet, the hope is he'll be ready to join Toledo at some point this week. Greene has been sidelined since late July with a right hamstring strain.
