Manning will not require surgery to repair his right foot fracture, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Manning sustained a fracture to the fifth metatarsal on his right foot when he was struck by a comebacker during his last start Tuesday. He'll be able to rest and rehab rather than go under the knife and should be able to throw while wearing a walking boot, which should shorten his stay on the injured list.
