The Tigers designated Rogers for assignment Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Rogers debut with the Tigers in 2019 but has now lost his place on the 26-man and 40-man rosters. The 31-year-old has more than five years of service time, so he'll become a free agent if he goes unclaimed on waivers. Rogers has a .161/.266/.301 slash line and three homers in 110 plate appearances this season.
