Castro was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Wednesday.
Castro left Tuesday's game against the White Sox with the injury, which is evidently serious enough to keep him out for at least 10 days. Whether or not he'll need more time beyond that remains to be seen. He filled just a part-time role during his time with the team, so his absence won't shake up the Tigers' depth chart very much.
