Faedo was optioned to Triple-A Toledo on Friday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
With Michael Pineda (finger) returning to start Friday, Faedo will lose his spot on the active roster. The expectation is that Faedo will return to start one game of the Tigers' twin bill against the Guardians on Monday, though likely as the 27th man. Faedo has allowed 14 earned runs in his last three starts spanning 11.1 innings.
