Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski told reporters Monday that third baseman Miguel Cabrera may end up needing surgery on his injured groin. For the most part, Cabrera played through a Grade 2-3 strain, sitting out just two of the team's final nine regular season games. Coming off a third straight batting title, he wasn't quite himself in the postseason, batting .262 (11 for 42) with two homers in two playoff series.
