The Phillies released Alcantara on May 24. and the utility infielder has signed with the Puebla Pericos of the Mexican League, per Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com.
Alcantara slashed .223/.389/.348 with two homers and four steals over 35 games with Triple-A Lehigh Valley this season. The 29-year-old appeared in one big-league game for the Giants last season and last saw regular action in the majors in 2022 between the Padres and Diamondbacks.
