Loutos cleared waivers after being designated for assignment, but the Mariners have elected to move on from the reliever rather than outright him. The right-hander has had a rough go of it in his brief time in the majors the last two seasons, posting a 10.67 ERA and 8:9 K:BB over 14.1 regular-season innings.
