The Royals claimed Thomas off waivers from the Athletics on Tuesday and optioned him to Triple-A Omaha.
Thomas did not throw a pitch for the Athletics after being claimed off waivers last week, and he's now on the move again. The left-hander has been tagged for a whopping 27 runs over 11.2 innings covering four career major-league outings.
