Colon was recalled from Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reports.
Colon has split time in the majors and minors this season, but he'll now get another shot with the parent club after slashing .250/.313/.295 in 16 games at the major league level earlier in the year. He figures to provide infield depth during this latest stint, with Tony Cruz optioned off the major league roster in a corresponding move.
