High-A Quad Cities transferred Charles to the 60-day injured list June 3 as he recovers from a core injury, Bill Mitchell of Baseball America reports.
A raw and athletic prospect who has been on dynasty radars for years despite middling performance, Charles was having a breakout year for the River Bandits prior to suffering the injury May 19. The 22-year-old shortstop/third baseman slashed .306/.377/.491 with three home runs and eight steals in 30 games.
