Gordon will start for the Rockies on Wednesday in Detroit, MLB.com reports.

Gordon will be making a spot start in place of Austin Gomber (personal), who was placed on the paternity list Tuesday. The right-hander holds a 7.55 ERA and 25:6 K:BB over 31 innings covering seven starts with the big club in 2024 but is coming off his best start of the season with Triple-A Albuquerque, having tossed eight shutout frames last Wednesday in Tacoma.
