Jones is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Orioles.
The lefty-hitting Jones will take a seat Friday even with right-hander Albert Suarez on the mound for Baltimore. Jones had started five of the Rockies' previous six games against right-handed pitchers. Jordan Beck will handle left field Friday.
