The Rockies optioned Anderson to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.
Anderson will give up his spot on the active roster to German Marquez (biceps), who was reinstated from the injured list to start Friday's game against the Cubs. He'll head back to Albuquerque having posted a 3.29 ERA and a 10:2 K:BB across 13.2 innings for the Rockies this season.
