McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, a walk and an RBI on Wednesday.
McCarthy did most of his damage in the third inning when he pulled a triple into the right-center field gap to drive in a run. He later added a double, giving him consecutive games with an extra-base hit. McCarthy also has at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, during which he's gone 15-for-51 with one home run, four RBI, three runs scored and four stolen bases.
