Blackmon (toe) began his rehab assignment with High-A Modesto on Tuesday and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout.
Blackmon stayed on schedule with his rehab process with Tuesday's appearance and is expected to play in one more game with Modesto. He'll become eligible to come off the disabled list Friday, although his status for the weekend series will become more clear once he completes the second game of his rehab assignment.
