Renda was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
Part of the return for Aroldis Chapman last offseason, Renda appeared in 16 games with the Reds last month, going 6-for-27 (.222 average) with one extra-base hit. The 25-year-old did get on base at a .363 clip in the minors this year but he will merely fill a bench role over the final few weeks of the 2016 season and there's not much to see here long term.
