Reds' Nick Senzel: Shut down with vertigo

Senzel is suffering from symptoms of vertigo and isn't expected to play again in 2017, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Senzel hasn't played since Aug. 24 due to the issue, but it isn't expected to be anything that will force him to alter his preparation heading into the 2018 campaign. After opening the season with High-A Daytona and quickly proving himself worthy of advanced competition, Senzel took his production up a notch at Double-A Pensacola, slashing .340/.413/.560 in 235 plate appearances. He'll likely enter the upcoming season as the Reds' top prospect and could make his MLB debut later in 2018.
