The Reds optioned Richardson to Triple-A Louisville on Monday.
Cincinnati and Atlanta were granted a 27th player on the active roster Sunday during the completion of the suspended Speedway Classic game, and Richardson filled that role for the Reds. The righty struck out three over two scoreless innings Sunday and will now rejoin Louisville's bullpen.
