Triple-A Louisville placed Johnson on its 7-day injured list Sept. 10 due to an unspecified injury.
After being optioned to Louisville on Sept. 4, Johnson played in just two games before being shut down with the injury. Prior to his demotion, Johnson had played sparingly at the big-league level over three stints with the Reds on the season, going just 1-for-16 with three walks and two stolen bases.
