Duarte was recalled from Triple-A Louisville by the Reds on Saturday.
Duarte made Cincinnati's Opening Day roster and made two appearances out of the bullpen, surrendering two earned runs across 1.2 innings before being demoted. He'll likely return to a low-leverage relief role with the team. Nick Senzel (undisclosed) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move.
