Kelly cleared waivers Saturday and was sent outright to Triple-A Louisville.
Kelly will officially remain in the organization after being dropped from the Reds' 40-man roster Thursday. The 34-year-old allowed three runs while striking out four batters and walking one across 5.1 innings over his two appearances with Cincinnati.
