Abbott (9-9) took the loss Wednesday, coughing up six runs on six hits -- including three home runs -- and three walks over five innings as the Reds fell 6-4 to the Marlins. He struck out seven.
The Ks helped salvage some fantasy value for Abbott, but the southpaw continues to have trouble keeping the ball in the yard, serving up a pair of solo shots to Jake Burger and a grand slam to Derek Hill. Abbott's been tagged for eight homers over his last five starts and 23.1 innings, stumbling to a 6.56 ERA and 1.93 WHIP over that stretch. He'll try to turn things around in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Cardinals.
