Story (sports hernia) will continue his rehab assignment Tuesday at Triple-A Worcester, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Story had been viewed as candidate to return from the 60-day injured list Monday, but he didn't join the Red Sox for the start of their road trip and looks like he'll remain out for all three games of the team's series in Miami to begin the week. If all goes well during Tuesday's rehab contest, Story -- who has been on the shelf since May 16 -- could be activated at some point during the Red Sox's weekend series in New York versus the Yankees. Since kicking off his rehab assignment with Worcester on Aug. 16, Story has gone 4-for-21 with a 0:5 BB:K while playing exclusively in the field at shortstop.
