Hill (knee) will likely begin a rehab assignment Wednesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
Hill threw a three-inning simulated game Friday and felt good a day after, so he'll likely return to game action with a minor-league affiliate this week. The left-hander has been on the injured list since July 2, and it's possible that he'll be cleared to rejoin the Red Sox after just one or two rehab starts.
