Ovideo (elbow) allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out four for Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.
Ovideo, who began a rehab assignment with the WooSox, threw 30 pitches (20 strikes). It's unlikely he throws again for Worcester, which has been eliminated from the Triple-A International League postseason. That leaves a potential return to Boston, where Ovideo could operate as a multi-inning arm out of the bullpen.
