Palacios is not in the Rays' starting lineup against the Astros on Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Ben Williamson will start at second base and bat seventh against Astros right-hander Spencer Arrighetti in Friday's series opener. Palacios has gone 1-for-14 with an RBI over his last five games and has a .186 batting average since June 1.
