Choi is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
With southpaw Rich Hill on the hill for Boston, the Rays will stock up some extra right-handed bats in the series finale. The lefty-hitting Choi will bow out of the lineup while the righty-hitting Harold Ramirez steps in as Tampa Bay's designated hitter.
