Rasmussen pitched four innings in Wednesday's loss to the Red Sox, allowing one run on three hits and no walks while striking out five. He did not factor into the decision.
The 26-year-old held his own in this one, with the only blemish coming as a result of a second-inning RBI single by Christian Vazquez. Since being moved from the bullpen to the starting rotation on Aug. 12, Rasmussen has posted an impressive 1.59 ERA and 0.76 WHIP over 17 innings. His next expected start is projected to be Tuesday against the Red Sox in Boston.
