Taveras is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Yankees.
Taveras started the previous five games but will head to the bench Tuesday after going 5-for-23 with eight strikeouts during that span. Wyatt Langford will shift to center field while Ezequiel Duran receives a start in left.
