Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

The left-handed-hitting Smith has been a mainstay in the lineup versus right-handed pitching all season, but he'll hit the bench Sunday while the Marlins send righty Eury Perez to the hill. Smith's exit from the lineup comes after he went just 2-for-21 with one walk against six strikeouts over the past six games.
