Ibanez started at first base and went 1-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 12-6 win over the Blue Jays.
Ibanez was part of a lineup dominated by right-handed batters, as Texas faced its first left-handed starter of the season. Normally the Rangers' starter at third base, Ibanez moved to first base in place of the lefty-hitting Nathaniel Lowe. He also moved from eighth in the order to the five-hole. Ibanez has two hits in 13 at-bats thus far.
