Horwitz provided needed insurance with his blast in the eighth inning, his ninth home run of the season. He's performed well across his last 15 starts, hitting .322 with five homers, seven RBI and 10 runs scored. Horwitz also continues to serve as Pittsburgh's primary leadoff hitter against right-handed pitchers.
