Hayes suffered an undisclosed injury and exited Tuesday's game for Triple-A Indianapolis.
It's not currently clear what type of injury Hayes sustained, but he was removed from the game during the ninth inning. The 22-year-old is slashing .245/.339/.395 this season in his first taste of Triple-A ball.
