Holmes was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

Holmes made one appearance for the Pirates in early April, allowing a run in two innings. He has a 3.39 ERA in 66.1 innings for Indianapolis so far this season. He was called up to replace the injured Michael Feliz (shoulder).
