De La Cruz is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
De La Cruz started the past five games after being acquired from the Marlins, but he'll take a seat Wednesday after going 3-for-22 with eight strikeouts. Ji Hwan Bae will shift to right field while Michael Taylor starts in center.
