McCutchen was removed from Saturday's contest against the Diamondbacks with left quadriceps tightness.
McCutchen notched a leadoff single off Slade Cecconi to open the bottom of the sixth inning before being removed for a pinch runner. McCutchen may have tweaked his quad running to first base, though the team said he was removed from the contest out of precaution. The 37-year-old finished his night 1-for-3 from the plate and can be considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's series finale.
