The Phillies designated Hoffman for assignment Monday.
The move frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for left-hander Brooks Raley, who was acquired in a trade with the Mets on Monday. Hoffman has spent nearly all of the 2026 season at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he's logged a 4.72 ERA and 40:18 K:BB over 34.1 innings.
